BOOK SYNOPSIS…
Sarah Dove is no ordinary bookworm. To her, books have always been more than just objects: they live, they breathe, and sometimes they even speak. When Sarah grows up to become the librarian in her quaint Southern town of Dove Pond, her gift helps place every book in the hands of the perfect reader. Recently, however, the books have been whispering about something out of the ordinary: the arrival of a displaced city girl named Grace Wheeler.
If the books are right, Grace could be the savior that Dove Pond desperately needs. The problem is, Grace wants little to do with the town or its quirky residents—Sarah chief among them. It takes a bit of urging, and the help of an especially wise book, but Grace ultimately embraces the challenge to rescue her charmed new community. In her quest, she discovers the tantalizing promise of new love, the deep strength that comes from having a true friend, and the power of finding just the right book.
“A mesmerizing fusion of the mystical and the everyday” (Susan Andersen, New York Times bestselling author), The Book Charmer is a heartwarming story about the magic of books that feels more than a little magical itself. Prepare to fall under its spell.

MY REVIEW…
**The publisher sent me an ARC to review. All opinions are my own!**
I am a huge fan of Sarah Addison Allen and when I stumbled on The Book Charmer book in NetGalley and read the description (there’s an air of magic), I knew I had to read it. Let’s talk about the book, shall we? There are 2 female leads in this book: Sarah Pond, Dove Pond’s Librarian and Grace Wheeler, the newcomer to Dove Pond. Sarah has this special gift with books (that magic I was talking about earlier) and when Grace arrives in town, things start happening. Sarah knows her town is in trouble. People were moving away. Businesses were closing shop. She knows she’s instrumental in saving the town, but she’s not sure how she’s supposed to do it, until she realizes Grace coming to town is her key to saving the town. But it’s not going to be easy because she has to convince Grace that she has to help her. The story has a great cast of characters: Mama G. (Grace’s adoptive mother); Hannah (Grace’s sister); Daisy (Hannah’s daughter); Travis (the next door neighbor); Kat Carter (member of Dove Pond’s Social Club); Mayor Moore (Dove Pond’s Mayor); Ava Dove (one of Sarah’s six sisters) and so many more.
