Check your onions over and make sure none of them are soft or showing signs of spoilage. 2. Alternatively, you could leave the stalks on and braid them for storage. 3. Avoid storing them in a solid plastic tote. Where do you store your onions?
Here’s your pumpkin bodyguard line-up ⤵️ 🌱Dill fl Here’s your pumpkin bodyguard line-up ⤵️ 🌱Dill flowers attract beneficial insects such as hoverflies and ladybugs (that prey on aphids) and predatory wasps (that prey on caterpillars and other insects) 🌱Borage attracts beneficial insects and deters pests 🌱German Chamomile attracts hoverflies and wasps, repels Mexican bean beetles 🌱Nasturtium is a trap crop for lots of pests including cucumber beetles, squash bugs, aphids & whiteflies. 🌱Catnip deters ants, weevils, squash bugs, Japanese beetles, flea beetles, and mice. 🌱Lemon Balm repels squash bugs. 🌱Oregano attracts hoverflies and repels aphids. My goal for my pumpkins is to alternate an herb and a flower. We want to attract the beneficials in with the flowers and repel the bad pests with the herbs (scent).
