It needs plants with a job. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Some plants bring in pollinators (anything that flowers).
Some pull beneficial insects into the garden (these are the good guys like lacewings, ladybugs, parasitic wasps, praying mantis, etc).

Some confuse pests (with their smells).

Some act like trap crops (signal to pestsโ€ฆpick meโœ‹๐Ÿป).

Some help cover bare soil (living mulch).

Some make the whole garden work a little harder for you.

Thatโ€™s why I donโ€™t treat flowers and herbs like decorations.

Theyโ€™re part of the system.

If your garden keeps getting hammered by pests, struggling with pollination, or feeling like it needs constant babysittingโ€ฆ start asking what your plants are actually doing.

Pretty is nice.
Useful is better. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Plant the problem-solvers.
Your garden will thank you.
