Plant for your season — not someone else’s timeline. Space things out so airflow is real, not wishful thinking. Mix in herbs and flowers so beneficial insects show up early. Mulch so you’re not chasing water all summer. Water deep and keep it consistent. Check your garden a few times a week so nothing sneaks up on you. That’s it. No chaos. No constant fixing. You pair them with herbs and flowers that actually do something. Repel pests. Attract beneficial insects. Create balance so you’re not constantly fixing problems. Tomatoes with basil and marigolds.
