I bought bugs!!! 🐞 Good bugs that is (aka benefi I bought bugs!!! 🐞 Good bugs that is (aka beneficial insects). This is the 2nd time I’ve bought beneficial insects. These are from @naturesgoodguys and it was a beneficial insect “package”. My garden is naturally setup to defend itself by incorporating companion plants for all of main crops which support beneficial insects taking up residency. However, I’m just not seeing enough beneficials in relation to the pests (specifically cucumber beetles) that are in residence. Even the best laid plans can fall short, but there are resources you can turn to, without picking up pesticides. My plants are doing so good, and I want to keep it that way!! This has been such a cool experiment to test. Vert This has been such a cool experiment to test. Vertical growing for my squash and zucchini plants. So far, only pest pressure has been cucumber beetles and a few squash bugs. Just bought a big beneficial insect kit from @naturesgoodguys and will be documenting that process soon. I’ve got pollinators and some beneficials but not enough beneficials to take out my cucumber beetle population, even though my entire garden has a defense system setup to attract beneficials in to take up residency. I’m growing vertically to give airflow (reduce powdery mildew chances) and reduce SVB pressure. So far so good on both of these. 👍🏻 Plants are happy, even with pest pressure. Fruit is producing nicely. What questions can I answer? P.S.
