Millenial Gardener
Technically I’m a Xennial (a cross between Gen-X & Millenial) – people have lots of opinions on where 1981 babies fall. LOL 😂 Regardless, I’m over here trying to figure out how to garden like my grandparents did. In the ground, with hilled rows & low-tilling. My gardening zone is Texas 8b — although your frost dates matter way more than your gardening zone!

Modern Homesteading
I’m really fascinated by the old ways. Skills my grandparents used daily, that my generation missed out on. My parents generation was more about convenience (hello grocery stores) and spending time with family vs homesteading practices. I don’t blame them. Convenience made life easier for them (relatively speaking). But it hurt my generation because we didn’t really have the opportunity to learn what we should’ve learned. So, now I’m trying to do just that.

First-time Home Builder
We bought 11 acres in the summer of 2024. It’s the perfect piece of land. We broke ground on our barndominium hangar house in June 2025. And it’s been all about home decisions that co-inside with building a house (which I’ve never done) ever since. Follow along as I bring my dream home to life!
