Spraying every bug you see is the reason you keep Spraying every bug you see is the reason you keep seeing more bugs, and nobody selling the sprays at the garden center is going to tell you that.

If you're seeing aphids on your fall kale right now, this is exactly the moment not to spray.

Every time you hose down a plant, the ladybug larvae and lacewings that were quietly eating your aphids die right along with them.

Aphids bounce back in days, since theyโ€™re literally born pregnant.

Your predators take weeks.

So youโ€™ve just handed the pests a garden without bodyguards.

They move back in, you see twice as many, and you reach for the bottle again.

That loop is how you end up spraying every weekend all summer and calling yourself a failure at gardening.

Organic doesnโ€™t get you off the hook either.

Soap spray kills the good larvae it lands on, and spinosad is rough on bees if theyโ€™re out when you spray.

I use any kind of organic spray sparingly, only on the exact problem, and only when nothing else is handling it.

Iโ€™d rather lose a few leaves for a week while the ladybugs catch up than lose my whole defense team in one afternoon.

A garden that defends itself needs its defenders alive, and thatโ€™s what I teach in the Self Defending Garden System.

If you want to put the spray bottle down for good and build a garden where the ladybugs handle your aphids for you, comment SYSTEM and Iโ€™ll send you the link.

Before you spray or squish anything in your fall g Before you spray or squish anything in your fall garden this month, make sure youโ€™re not killing the bug that was doing your pest control for free, because thereโ€™s a good chance youโ€™ve already taken out a few of them with your thumb.

Ladybug larvae get squashed all the time because they look like tiny spiky alligators and nothing like the cute red beetle youโ€™d recognise. One of them can eat hundreds of aphids before it ever grows wings.

Then thereโ€™s the hornworm covered in little white cocoons that people pick off and toss in the trash. Those cocoons are parasitic wasps getting ready to hatch, and every one of them heads out to find your next hornworm for you, so if you throw that caterpillar away, youโ€™ve thrown away free pest control.

Most gardeners who tell me they โ€œcanโ€™t keep up with the bugsโ€ are killing the exact insects that would have kept up for them.

Before you squish or spray anything, figure out whether itโ€™s on your side, because that one specific habit changes how your whole garden runs.

And if youโ€™re done fighting your garden every season and ready to build one that actually works with you, comment SYSTEM and Iโ€™ll send you the link.

That bug on your plant might be the best employee That bug on your plant might be the best employee youโ€™ve got, and thereโ€™s a good chance youโ€™ve already fired a few of them with your thumb.

Ladybug larvae get squashed constantly because they look like tiny spiky alligators and nothing like a cute red beetle. One of them can eat hundreds of aphids before it ever grows wings.

Then thereโ€™s the hornworm covered in little white cocoons that people pick off and toss in the trash. Those cocoons are parasitic wasps getting ready to hatch, and every one of them heads out to find your next hornworm for you. Throw that caterpillar away and youโ€™ve thrown away free pest control.

Most gardeners who tell me they โ€œcanโ€™t keep up with the bugsโ€ are killing the exact insects that would have kept up for them.

So before you squish or spray anything, get curious and figure out whether itโ€™s on your side or actually eating your plants, because this one singular habit changes how your whole garden runs.

Your helpers are the backbone of the Self Defending Garden System, and keeping them on the payroll is how your garden starts defending itself.

If youโ€™re done fighting your garden every season and ready to build one that actually works with you, comment SYSTEM and Iโ€™ll message you the link.
